Midcoast Now prioritizes useful, accurate public event information for communities throughout Midcoast Maine.
Coverage
Our daily focus includes Midcoast cities, towns, villages, islands, peninsulas, and nearby inland communities. We may include a notable event elsewhere in Maine—including Augusta, Unity, or Bangor—when it is likely to matter to Midcoast readers.
What belongs
Public concerts, arts events, markets, workshops, talks, civic meetings, festivals, outdoor activities, family events, worship services, and other public religious or spiritual gatherings are eligible. Listings are evaluated consistently without preference for or against a faith, denomination, or belief. Private gatherings, ordinary business hours, and listings without enough information to verify are not.
Editorial independence
Submitting an event is free and does not guarantee publication or prominent placement. Paid relationships, if introduced later, will be labeled and will not determine basic eligibility.
Accuracy
Listings should identify their original source. Submissions are reviewed before publication, and corrections or cancellations take priority over new listings.
